A response to a Freedom Of Information request reported this morning in Nine newspapers confirms suspicions and raises new concerns about the Morrison-Joyce Government's scandal-plagued Commuter Car Park Fund.

We already knew that projects in this $660 million fund were selected according to a list of "top 20 marginal seats", but today we learnt that the process was purely political with the Department of Infrastructure never even being shown this list.

It appears this rorted process was managed entirely within the offices of the Prime Minister and Minister Tudge.

$660 million in infrastructure funding could make a real difference to cities across Australia.

Instead, this money was essentially wasted on partisan rorts.

Suburban commuters deserve better.

The Prime Minister needs to come clean on what he and his staff knew.

Whether its Car Park Rorts, Airport Rorts, Regional Rorts, Community Safety Rorts Sports Rorts or JobKeeper overpayments, this government needs to account for its serious and systematic maladministration of public funds.

It's now been more 1,000 days since a national integrity commission was promised, and Australians can see why it hasn't been delivered: Mr Morrison has too much to hide.

Only an Albanese Labor Government will deliver a National Anti-Corruption Commission and only an Albanese Labor Government will deliver infrastructure based on genuine community need.
