Reports today that three more commuter carparks at suburban train stations are set to be dumped underline the chaos that is the Morrison Government's Commuter Carpark Fund.

Promised ahead of the 2019 Election, these carparks were meant to ease congestion on busy city roads and get more commuters onto trains.

Instead, these ill-thought-out commitments have been dumped by a Government that cared more about the pre-election headlines than delivering the infrastructure Australians need.

Two years on from 67 carparks being promised, only two are completed and only two more are under construction.

With three more carparks soon to join South Morang's in being cancelled, the Morrison Government has now broken as many commuter carpark promises as they have begun work on delivering.

As Australian commuters are left circling the block looking for a carpark, they know they have only the Morrison Government to blame.

The Commuter Carpark Fund is funded through the same Urban Congestion Fund that delivered 83 per cent of its funding to Liberal seats and seats targeted by the Liberal Party.

This is the Morrison Government's signature infrastructure investment program it's also the signature example of everything that is wrong with the Morrison Government's infrastructure investment program.

The ANAO report into this troubled program is due to be tabled in June.
